About the Concerto

HeadswithOrchestraxsmallAfter last year’s total sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe we’ll be returning to the Fringe this year in a much bigger and more glamorous venue at the Assembly Rooms.

Our brand new show is entitled Concerto without Orchestra! It’s a daring and innovative idea that we came up with when we realised it would be too much to ask to have a full symphony orchestra at each of the 25 performances we’ll give in August. So…what we’ve done is found ourselves an orchestra to play with us in a different venue and they’ll be broadcast on a giant screen behind us. We’re happy to announce that the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra are onboard for the show!

The highlight of our show will be a short piano concerto we’ve composed consisting of three movements and the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra will join us – not in the room but from another location and play the concerto with us – hence Concerto without Orchestra!
